Our design for this thin restaurant space brings the familiar and innovative into a cohesive whole that is warm and comfortable and loved by the public. The project employs reclaimed timber from the winemaking process, as well as the stain of wine as an aesthetic. The arched wood ceiling is reworked red wine-barrel staves, the main wall is a wood literally painted with cabernet. The storefront is a screen made from salvaged champagne riddling racks, not only buffering the harsh street environment, but creating a sense of mystery and withholding of view.
